Section J of the BCA (The Building Codes of Australia) makes provisions for the energy efficiency requirements in all class 2 to class 9 buildings. The primary objective of Section J is to significantly reduce the amount of energy a building will use for standard operations, thereby reducing the building’s greenhouse gas emissions.
